While I dont know much about Ajax. I do know that it can produce some slick looking tools and designs elements. I spend a lot of time looking over the various Ajax based sites to see what they are coming up with so I can stay on top of whats out there. By knowing what type of scripts are out there, it helps me plan and design for future sites.

Many of these scripts came from an ever growing list of Ajax scripts called Ajax Rain. Here are links to the Ajax rain site and some other great places to see whats going on in the word of Ajax.

Ajax Links:

  • Ajax Rain - 944 links and counting
  • Max Kiesler - Nice list of ajax galleries and slideshows.
  • Smashing Magazine - 80+ Ajax Solutions for Designers
  • Tutorial Blog - Mostly CSS stuff, but has some Ajax scripts worth looking at.

Sub Tag Cloud - Using jQuery to reduce the size of the tag cloud that you have on your sites, so our demo will introduce “Hover Sub Tags” under each main Tag, for example if you have Ajax as a tag, you can have jquery, mootools, etc… as sub-tags.

videobox.jpg
Video Box - A lightbox script for videos. Videobox is a 6kb script, which shows your videos in the page with an overlay. It was inspired from Lightbox.v2 and uses some of the Slimbox’s code. It’s written for the wonderful mootools library. And used swfobject to embed flash.
