Im really into the whole rockabilly thing right now and one thing that is popular in this niche is the classic pin up girl artwork. While I love the classic pin up girl style, I thought it would be nice to explore the modern day pin up artists. I knew there would be plenty of them, but what I was surprised to see was how many of these modern day pinup artists have put their own style into this classic style. Below I have showcased several different modern day pin up artist, all of which have their own distinct style.

Lorenzo Sperlonga
If you have ever flipped through a issue of Heavy Metal, you probably saw some of Lorenzo Sperlonga
s work without even knowing it. He started his career at the early age of 16 doing isslustrations for ad agencies and designers. As the years passed, he realized that painting was his true calling and devoted his time to learning the talent.

Ric Frane
Ric has been drawing and painting since he was a child. I hope he wasn’t painting these types of pictures back then! He has a love for monsters, ghouls, and Asian cinema. This is easily noticed in his work which often carries one of these themes. He certainly puts his own spin on the pin up style.

Keith Garvey
Kieth is a prime example of a modern day pin up artist. His work is very computer generated looking, but still pleasing to the eyes for sure. It is nice to see that the art of the pin up has progressed so far. Keith has several books, phone games, and more. Quite an entrepreneurial pin up artist.

Armando Huerta
It is hard not to stare at a Armando Huerta pin up. Partly because of the super sexy girls in the image, but also because of his attention to detail. His pinups are filled with an obsessive amount of detail. Strangely enough, Armando Huerta actually started with clay modeling and progressed into traditional art pinups.
