A while back we informed you about the launch of the awesome Photoshop tutorial website, PSDTUTS. Today, we are here to tell you about another site brought to you by the masterminds behind PSDTUTS. The site is called NETTUTS and follows the same idea as Photoshop counterpart, but covers web design tutorials instead.
From NETTUTS:
After the massive success of PSDTUTS, it seemed like a good idea to branch out into tutorials on other subjects. Since one of the most requested types of tutorials has always been for web development, that seemed like a logical place to go. And so today I’m happy to be launching NETTUTS!
So here at NETTUTS we’ll be tackling pretty much any subject to do with building websites including:
- Complete step by step website builds
- HTML and CSS techniques
- Flash effects and techniques
- Javascript and AJAX
- Dreamweaver and other tools
- … And general web development skills
As we did with PSDTUTS I’m going to have a slow start to the site with just one or two tutorials a week and then ramping up over a few months to daily tutorials and a plus membership system. So today there isn’t much to see, but bookmark the site, add the feed to your RSS reader and get ready for a whole new series of spoonfed tutorials!
Why It Rocks
There are two things that I really like about NETTUTS, one of them is how they explain coding process from a designers point of view. The explanation of more complicated code such as Javascript, is explained in a very easy to understand way. there are no in depth means behind functions, just the must know information.
The second thing I really like about NETTUTS is the collaboration with PSDTUTS. I foresee many two part tutorials over these sites where PSDTUTS teaches you to design things like websites, navigation, tabs, etc; and then NETUTS teach you how to code it and put it into action.
What Are Your Thoughts?
Do you think the NETTUTS site will do well or is it just another tutorial site littering the web?
