I have been doing a lot of research into shared office spaces. I think they are a super cool idea for the professional who works at home. Working at home is great, but let’s face it, every once in a while you just have to get out of there. This is what makes these shared office spaces great.
I have also come across Jelly which is a site that helps work at home nomads gather at others houses in the area. Basically one work at home professional invites others to work at his house for the day.
So, have any of you ever taken part in a Jelly or worked at a professional shared office space? What did you think about it? If you have never been, why not? Would you go to one?

Hi Danny,
I’ve been involved with shared office space for the past 7-8 years and each time it was extremely beneficial to the different companies I’ve owned. It’s great to have a network of people in which I could in-source work to or vice versa.
I see that you are based in Costa Rica, but if you are ever in the US and looking for shared office space, check out a site that myself and two friends put together. It’s called SuiteMatch.com
@Barry, I’ll check it out now. I’ll be back in the sates in a few months and am really looking forward to trying these out.
Im not much into networking events, so these seem like they could be extra benifical it that sense as well.
I’m thinking of looking into something like that here in Nashville. Sometimes it gets so lonely here, I think until I find one I’ll start visiting cafe’s every friday
@Calvin The cafes are good. I try to do that at least once a week as well. Let me know how the Nashville hunt for shared office spaces go.
