Maybe it is because I didn’t collect baseball cards as a kid that I find such pleasure in collecting free icon sets. I probably have hundreds of icons on my computer, half of which I have never used for anything. But, they look cool and that is all that really matters. I easily spend a few hours every month just browsing through new icon sets to see what is being created.
Maybe I am so impressed with many of the free icon sets out there today because I don’t have the patience, let alone skills, to create something like that. The amount of time it takes to create one stellar icon is past my comfort zone. I can’t even fathom make a complete set of free icons, even if were stretched out over a period of time.
