Wufoo Form Builder Review: Perfect for Designers and Bloggers

Building web forms is no fun, I don’t care who you are. Then finding a way to keep track of all the information from the forms is even more annoying. That is, until you discover the online form builder Wufoo. The Wufoo form builder allows you to easily create stunning forms in minutes, but also offers you a variety of ways to store and organize the forms information.

Idea for Freelance Designers
I have been playing with Wufoo for a while now, but only recently did I really start to see just how much I could get out of it. After some serious research into the service, I have decided to use it as my sole form builder and information manager. The site is super simple and makes the complex task of building long or short forms easier that you would think.

My favorite part of Wufoo is the finished product. When building a form with Wufoo you have the ability to easily add in sweet ajax effects like suggestions and hints. The end result is a polished form that can be embedded into a web page, be turned into a pop up form, or as its own page.

Once you have your form built, you can set various notification priorities. You can have Wufoo form messages emailed directly to your email where you can respond to them like normal email or you can simply keep the information from the form stored in your Wufoo account and just get notifications when new forms have been submitted.

Why Its Worth Your Money:

  • Form builder is easy to use and allows you to create complex forms and no time at all
  • End result is a slick looking ajax fueled form
  • Free trial allows you to build up to 3 forms with ten fields
  • Pricing is similar to other related businesses
  • Various notification methods and ways to respond let receive information the way you want
  • Data is easily organized and stored in your Wufoo account and no longer gathering dust in your inbox

Final Thoughts
Wufoo offers a free trail account that includes up to three forms with 10 fields each. I suggest that you replace your current contact form with a Wufoo form to see not only how easy it is to build, but how much better your contact form could look if you used Wufoo.

There are a lot of other form builders out there that I’m looking at right now, but this one, Form Logix, and FormSpring.com seem to be the big 3. Maybe you could review the other ones and do a comparison of which is the best?

Thanks for posting this review. I am a web designer just now looking into Wufoo for forms and data management. I was wondering if you can apply your own css to the form, to style it any way you want from scratch?
