As many of you know, as of Febuary 2008, I will be living and working from the sandy beaches of Costa Rica. As nice as it sounds to work from the web in the Caribbean, there are a number challenges to overcome. Finding free vector files is no easy task. Finding well made, high quality vector files is even harder. I have spent, hours, days, and weeks putting together this list of free vector files. There are a lot of really good ones and a few so so ones. I put all the free vector files I could find on here because I figured everyone needs something different. So hopefully theres something for everyone on this list.

No freelancer should be without a contract.
Contracts and forms for designers are an important part of any design business. No matter if you are a graphic designer or web designer, a solid contract or good pre-project questionnaire can make every project go smoother.
If you don’t already have a good contract or some standard business forms made up for your design business already, what are you waiting for? Don’t be that designer who waits until AFTER he has a non-paying client to look into make a design contract. Put some time aside one day and get it done.
There are plenty of blank contracts for designers out there. If nothing else, find one of those and fill them out. They usually take about 20 minutes to read over and add in your companies information.

Free Grunge Style Resources

I just wanted to lt everyone know that I started a new website called Grunge Style
The grunge style trend seems to be holding strong (unlike the web 2.0 fad). I think this has something to do with the fact that the grunge style is so versatile. The grunge style can be used to create so many unique and different styles.
The grunge style website has four main sections. These sections of Grunge-Style.com incluse:
- Grunge Brushes
- Grunge Tutorials
- Grunge Textures
- Grunge Fonts
The Grunge Style website is still in the early stages and lacking some initial text, but should be done around the end of the month.
I plan on adding at least one grunge style resource a day for the rest of the year. There is also a section where you can submit your own grunge style resources. So if you have any good tutorials or brushes, I encourage you to send them in.
