The Dell 3007 is by far the best alternative to the Apple Cinema 30in Display. It easily competes with the Apple monitors specs, but blows its price tag out of the water. The Dell 3007 will only set you back about $1,199. the Apple Cinema 30in Display however, will cost you a pretty hefty $1,799. Call me cheap, but I’ll go for the Dell any day.

Wow, them prices aren’t too bad considering I paid the same for that Samsung as I did for my 17″ crappy ugly monitor. I never realised you could get a 24″ monitor for only $699 either.
I might just need to think about upgrading.
I think we use those Dell’s at work but I was never particularly impressed with them. I actually just got a new one (same model, but the other had a defect) and it looked like they changed the display, because now if I view the screen from an angle, it turns green (from top) or pink (bottom). Whatever you decide to go with, definitely check these things out in a store before grabbing one online!
