Design Wallpaper – Dress Up Your desktop
It has been a few years since I posted the popular article, 63 Wallpapers for Designers. Since then a number of cool new wallpapers have popped up on the interwebs. Rather than doing another absurdly long post, I thought I would showcase a few new wallpapers for designs that I have come across in the last few weeks. This freebie was inspired by pixel perfect style the Meta Labs has done such a good job perfecting. This layer style works best for thumbnails and avatar pictures. However, it also looks pretty nice on larger images for sliders and things of that nature.

Freebie: Photoshop Button Style 1
This weeks free file download is just a simple button set. The set comes in three colors, but are easy to adjust. All that needs to be done to customize each button is to adjust the gradient and stroke. I hope you enjoy these and please let me know if you use them in anything. I would love to see them in action.

Freebie: Video Player PSD
I had this idea a while back to try and designing something fun and for myself everyday for at least 30 days. That idea lasted for about three days! Work, family, and personal projects are a hard thing to put on hold, even if only for a hour. Im sure the idea is one that I will revisit once some of my personal projects get to a more self sustaining nature.
In the meantime, I decided to give away the files that I did create. This weeks is a slick looking video player. I haven’t the first clue on how to code these sorts of things, so if you end up coding this, drop me a line, a I would love to see it!
