While the Bose original QuietComfort Noise Cancelling Headphones blew the competition away with their performance and superior sound, the QuietComfort 2 ups the ante. They’ve improved the sound, increased the comfort level, and made them easier to pack.
Whereas the original model was bulky, the headphones on the Bose QuietComfort 2 swivel so they fold flat and fit into a nicely designed case. The package is slightly bigger than a CD wallet and much easier to pack for traveling. The earcup cushions are cushy soft and do a great job of sealing off outside noise.

Definitely look pretty cool. I travel a lot between the US and the UK, so noise cancelling headphones are a much. I use a Sennheiser set which is pretty decent, but after a couple of hours does start getting uncomfortable on the ears.
Biggest thing is the price though. My Sennheiser cost me $80. I’ve no doubt that the Bose are better, but $400 is a lot to pay for some headphones!

$400 is indeed a lot, for a set of headphones I mean. But I can only begin to imagine the superb quality of these headphones… I’m sure it’s worth every penny.

It can seem expensive but for hearing devices, headphones included price does mean quality quite often. However not always needed by the buyer. Just do your research before you spend the big dollars.

wow…..The headsets are awesome but the price is prohibitive. But good things do not come cheap.

As a frequent flyer i must say that Noise Canceling Headphones are the best investment i have ever made. They cancel out nearly all background noises, which is very good for me as then i can sleep on the plane and be rested by the time i arrive to my overseas business meetings. I do hear that the Bose headphones are really good, but i actually dont use those ones. I use a different pair of Noise Canceling Headphones which i really love. Can't afford Bose? then the cheap Costco LE Earbuds just as effective–a lot less dough.
Smaller and easier to travel. You can vacuum with these babies and hear just fine–great for screaming babies on airplanes also. Happy Trails
