34 Brilliant Ads on Semi Trucks

The other day I got one of those lame forward emails that people like your mom or 10 year old sister send you. You know the ones that have lame jokes, heart felt stories, or pictures of cute animals? Well, I got one of those but t turned out to be pretty cool. It was just four or five pictures of create semi advertisements. I thought it was so cool I decoded to google some more and found a decent amount of really cool looking ones. Check them out!

And at least 32 of them are proven Photoshopped images. Nothing to see here…move along.

Wow good job, you figured out they are photoshopped. Why would you say there is nothing to see here though? I guess you’re too cool for these great designs…

I absolutely love this post. This has sold me as a regular reader now for life. I design wraps to advertise businesses on vehicles and a few other mediums. I loved seeing these concepts since I’m a huge fan of witty and eye catching ads. Keep up the great work!

Yes these are obviously fake. There is no way that these cartoon trucks actually drive down the road. Especially #15, it would be hard to get your trucks artwork to line up perfectly with the actual scenery behind it. :p

Photoshopped or not, I still think that it’s neat to see these rolling billboards – even if they are conceptual art.

Thanks for the roundup!

Yes all fakes, it’s the same truck on all the pictures… But good ideas anyway!

Let’s hope not all of these ideas will be actually used on trucks: how many would crash when seeing #9?

It was creative for the first few but then they are the same truck. I generally like the posts on your blog Danny but I don’t really get why this one’s titled the way it is. Maybe 34 Brilliant Concept Ads for Semi Trucks?

Lots of great concepts here. I don’t know why everyone is getting cranky about them being fakes. They are obviously just fun design ideas. I really enjoyed looking through them.

I love these. I imagine that some of them would be quite scary to some poor, innocent, driver, especially the ones with the toxic waste, and the missile.

People are pissy about them because we have been sent links to the same images over and over and over by people thinking they are real, so to see an article titled as if these are real images is disappointing. Are they creative, yes, are they done well, yes. But are they actual ads on trailer rigs, no…unfortunately.

Yes – these images are obviously an “artist’s vision” of what a semi trailer COULD be – a rolling mobile billboard. Imagine the attention such a trailer would attract. Talk about “buzz” – on and off the web no less!!!

By the way, in the “real world” there is an actual example of such an eye catching – attention grabbing – BRAND PROMOTING vehicle – it’s called the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile. I STILL remember actually passing one years ago – THAT is how strong an impression it made on me.

The point is not whether you’ll actually pass one of these rolling down the highway – the point is rather why AREN’T you seeing such trailers!!!

personally, I really like this design. Looks clean and attracts some attention… if I owned a business, I’d have one of these trucks just because of their looks.
