Design Inspiration – Group Writing Project

There is no shortage design inspiration online these days. You don’t have to search to hard to find a CSS, Flash, logo, or graphic design gallery. In fact, I think it is safe to say that many of us have probably wasted more hours on these types of sites than we care to admit.

While these collections of design inspiration are a great catch all, Im always interested in seeing designers personal collections of design inspiration. I like to see the stuff they blog about, bookmark, and comment on, which is why I am starting this group writing project.

I think it would be very interesting to see what other web designers and graphic designers are finding inspiring these days. Who knows, by participating in this group writing project on deign inspiration we may discover the newest wave in design trends.

How to Participate
If you are interested in being a part of this group writing project, here is how you can participate.

1. Write a Post with Your Design Inspiration

  • Write a post with at least 10 designs that really inspire you to be better at what you do. This goes for graphic and web designers. Graphic designers can post things like logo designs, print media, etc. Web designers can post things like web apps, site designs, wordpress themes, etc.
  • Please include a image and link to the original design in your post.
  • Create a unique title for your post. Calling it “Design Inspiration” wont help you get any traffic.
  • Ideally it’d be great if you could write it on your actual blog but if it’s completely inappropriate to do so I’ll post them again on Outlaw Design on a ‘page’ (not a post) with a link back to your blog.

2. Tell Me About your Post

  • Once you’ve posted your your collection of design inspirations, let me know about it by sending me an email via davedbrosche {a} gmail {dot} com.
  • Make sure you include your name (as you want it to appear in my list), your post title and the URL to your post (not just to your blog’s front page).
  • Submissions must be received by me the the end of Monday April 28.

3. Posting the Project

  • Once the I receive all of the links to the design inspiration posts, I will create a featured post on Outlaw Design Blog that will share the links of everyone that participated in the project as well as a image from their design inspiration list.
