Finding free vector files is no easy task. Finding well made, high quality vector files is even harder. I have spent, hours, days, and weeks putting together this list of free vector files. There are a lot of really good ones and a few so so ones. I put all the free vector files I could find on here because I figured everyone needs something different. So hopefully theres something for everyone on this list.
The best part about this list of free vector files is that many of the links go to blog or website where you can find a whole slew of even more free vector files. Im always looking for sites that offer free vector files, especially on a regular basis. So if you know any websites that do, please let me know.
200 Ai – EPS Vector Illustration – 200+ Vector files.
Christmas Greeting cards Desing in Ai – Free x-mas card vector images.
Snap2Objects – 200+ Vector images from a variety of sets
iStock Free Vector of the Week Page – A free high quality vector file every week
Hydro 74 – 200+ free vector images in a variety of sets and styles
Vecteezy – 500+ images updated constantly. Sets and individual graphics
Vector Portal 90+ vectors in a ton of catagories
Spoon Graphics – A great blog that regularly has free vector files and great tutorials.
FreeVectors.net – Huge collection of free vectors. Some are good, but theres a lot of crap too.
Clipart-Design – A modern clip art company that sells vector clip art packs. Has a lot of good free samples. Great for logos.
NDesign Studio – Some really nice vector icon files from the designer that brought us the Web Design Wall.
Garcya.us – Over 200 free vector files. tons of really great and really trendy vector files.
Design Fruit _ Some high quality free samples.
Go Media – If you havent already downloaded the free samples from Media Arsenl, what are you waiting for?
Zippaz – Mostly crap, but has a nice collection of vehical vector files.
Logo Templator – A bunch of random shapes that are great for jump starting your logo design.
Liquid City – 77 Vector buttoms for websites.
Vector Vault – 6 free sample vectors. Site is like smaller and not as cool Go Media.
jlw Design – Blog the regularly posts some really great free vector files. Well worth checking out.
Bitt Box – Ithink everyone already knows this website.
MyJKA – A bunch of free samples from a designer who create and sell vector files, shirt design, patterns, and more.
Magic People – Mostly junk, but some good vector files if you feel like taking the time to look through them.

Fantastic Blog, some of the vector sites I had come across before but had forgotten about them. I like collecting Vectors and use different parts from many to make something awesome.

it possible to make vector images in the gimp? I have tried… be better than gimp for vector output, gimp you could draw with pen tool, but only to convert to image, that would allow you to make more

I have some ai vector files that I would like to use, but when I open them in photoshop, they simply appear raster-like and cannot be resized without jeopardizing the quality

Once vector art is created, it is easily modified within the program it was created in and is not greatly affected when scaled (enlarging or reducing size). Since vector files are mathematically defined, scaling simply requires modification of the mathematic equation. Vector files do not support photograph images very well and can become a problem when exchanging them across different platforms. Vector art is typically saved in an EPS or PDF format.

In the Promotional Products industry we deal mostly with Vector artwork and logo design or re-touching. In order to take your company logo from a computer image and print it with clear quality on a physical product, we MUST use vectored artwork. When you start to think about purchasing promotional products, be aware that your logo must be in Vector format. You should also expect to pay anywhere between $10 to $250 to change it into Vector format depending on the complexity and colors within the design. Most promotional products distributors will offer artwork design services along with your order.
